SAPCC Overview
Punjab's State Action Plan on Climate Change (v2.0) provides the strategic framework for climate action across the state. Coordinated by Department of Environment & Climate Change, it aligns with 7 of the 9 NAPCC national missions, mobilising 9 departments and ₹7000 crore in budget allocation.
Submitted in 2022 and approved on Dec 2022, the plan is valid until 2027. The SAPCC addresses Punjab's specific climate vulnerabilities across 3 climate zones covering 50,362 km² with 23 districts.
