SAPCC Overview
West Bengal's State Action Plan on Climate Change (v2.0) provides the strategic framework for climate action across the state. Coordinated by Department of Environment & Climate Change, it aligns with 8 of the 9 NAPCC national missions, mobilising 11 departments and ₹13000 crore in budget allocation.
Submitted in 2023 and approved on Oct 2023, the plan is valid until 2028. The SAPCC addresses West Bengal's specific climate vulnerabilities across 4 climate zones covering 88,752 km² with 23 districts.
