SAPCC Overview
Uttar Pradesh's State Action Plan on Climate Change (v2.0) provides the strategic framework for climate action across the state. Coordinated by Department of Environment & Climate Change, it aligns with 8 of the 9 NAPCC national missions, mobilising 12 departments and ₹20000 crore in budget allocation.
Submitted in 2023 and approved on Nov 2023, the plan is valid until 2028. The SAPCC addresses Uttar Pradesh's specific climate vulnerabilities across 5 climate zones covering 240,928 km² with 75 districts.
